When I was invited to my nephew’s wedding on Little Diamond Island in Maine, I had the idea to create a piece of art for a gift. Upon researching the reception venue, I was captivated by this building they call the casino. Talk about a perfect subject for a pen and ink drawing! It was such a treat to see the building in person after spending so much time studying it as a drawing!

We took a passenger ferry to the island (no cars allowed) and walked up the path to the family home where the ceremony took place. Later, we returned to the “casino” for a glorious reception on the water at sunset!
