This original pen and ink/watercolor was painted plein air in the cool of the evening in the public gardens at Wrightsville Beach. The old-fashioned flower cart caught my eye, especially the blue pots and teal umbrella. Arches paper 9” x 12” matted 14” x 18”
Pen and ink drawing of one of Wrightsville Beach's iconic buildings. "Station One" was built in 1976 at the site of the first stop on the beach trolley. Renamed "The Trolly Stop", it is famous for its vast menu of specialty hotdogs. No trip to the beach is complete without a visit to The Trolly Stop! I love this setting and have finally had the time to create a drawing of it the way it looked years ago.
